PUNISHMENT AND PENALTIES

On disciplinary grounds, the following punishments / penalties may be imposed on a student (according to the nature of the offense committed).

1. CATEGORIES OF PUNISHMENT FOR MINOR MISCONDUCT:
(i) Warning
(ii) Fine
(iii) Warning and Fine
(iv) Temporary Suspension of the student from all classes for a certain period.

2. CATEGORIES OF PUNISHMENT FOR MAJOR MISCONDUCT:
(i) Fine
(ii) Temporary suspension from the college
(iii) Withhold from appearing in the University professional examinations
(iv) Expulsion from the college.

3. STUDENT'S NAME MAY BE STRUCK OFF FROM THE COLLEGE REGISTER TEMPORALLY UNDER THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES:
(i) Remaining absent from classes for more than three months without permission.
(ii) Non-payment of college dues for consecutive three months.
(iii) If any student leave the country without permission from the Principal or stays outside the country beyond the permitted time of stay.

4. SPECIAL NOTES:
(i) The authority has got the right to frame some form of punishment which the alleged student will have to bear. Authority here means the academic council.
(ii) Any sorts of misconduct committed by a student which are not included over here will be considered and taken necessary action by the academic council.
(iii) In case of minor misconduct college administration can take decision regarding punishment.
(iv) Academic council reserves all rights to review the decision of college administration regarding misconduct.
