MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL

It is indeed a great pleasure for me to welcome the prospective students who are interested to get admission in the first batch of MBBS course at Asgar Ali Medical College, the future torch bearers of serving humanity.

Asgar Ali Medical College is a Ministry of Health and Family welfare approved, Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) recognized and University of Dhaka affiliated, fully established, dynamic and forward looking medical institution, committed to become a centre of excellence in medical teaching and research in the future.

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education. We assure that the students’ intellect will be nurtured thoroughly by well-organized closely monitored academic programs with diligence and sincerity so that they can to grow academically, morally and professionally to gain the character. We will ensure provision of secure campus, free from any unexpected disruption that hinders the time bound academic activities of the medical institutions. Medical learning is “Challenging”, not necessarily because the material is hard, but more because of other aspects of it that constantly push the boundaries of one’s comfort zone. You learn not only about the scientific phase of medicine, but also the social aspects as well, and more importantly, like in any challenging time, you learn a lot about yourself. The key is not only to pass the exams but to remember the concepts of every subject lifelong such that it will make you a good doctor. So, develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow. This institution has all the opportunities to enable you the students, acquire the required knowledge and training in a safe, purpose built facilities with completion of the curriculum / syllabus in due time.

I express my deep sincere gratitude to Mr.Fazlur Rahman, Founder Chairman of Citygroup and founders of  Asgar Ali Medical College as well and all others Board of directors who have pioneered to the creation of this institution. Their sincere efforts and active participation will greatly help to contribute Asgar Ali Medical College to the ongoing development of medical education in Bangladesh.

I also take it as an opportunity to thank and appreciate the sincere hard efforts put by my colleagues, associates and staff to join in the mission of uplifting the fame of this institution.

One more time, I welcome the new students who are willing to join in Asgar Ali medical college and wish you all a great future by becoming a good doctor and serve humanity in Bangladesh and globally. It is a never ending endeavor and there is always scope for further development and our dedicated and sincere team is always there with you to make your dreams come true.
